Key Colour for 2015
|
In interiors one of the key colours for 2015 is going to be Olive Green.
It is fair to say it is a colour that wouldn’t feature on most people’s colour palate.
This is partly down to the fact that most people are unaware of how to use it and
greens in general tend not be as popular as other colours.
However, if applied correctly you can create a refined, sophisticated and unusual interior decor.
|
Olive green can work equally well in both
contemporary and traditional settings.
Like most colours olive green comes
in a range of hues and tones, choosing
the right shade can make all the difference. |

|
Olive green can be combined with colours like
red, navy, orange, yellow and even pink.
Creams, white and black provide contrast.
Olive green works well with most types of natural
wood echoing nature and also different metals like
polished steel, gold, silver and bronze. |
However, a word of caution. If you are considering using olive green as the main colour on walls for example, it is crucial to get the lighting right as otherwise the colour can appear gloomy and murky especially when it’s dim. |
